California DRE Course Requirements Summary Course Progression:

• You must complete each chapter’s reading and quiz in order before moving on.
• Final exam access is granted only after all chapters are completed and the minimum time has elapsed.

Time Limits:

• Minimum Time to Complete: 2.5 weeks (18 calendar days) per course.
• Maximum Time to Complete: 1 year from enrollment. After that, re-enrollment (full fee) is required.

Final Exam:

• 100 multiple-choice questions, open book, 2.5 hours.
• Passing score: 60%.
• One re-take allowed with different questions. Failure requires retaking the entire course after 18 days.

Extension & Completion:

• No extensions beyond 1 year.
• Completion = passing the final exam.
• Final exam must be completed before the course enrollment expires.

Certificates:

• A single certificate for all courses is emailed after completion. Individual certificates available upon request.

ID Requirement for Final Exam:

• Must present a valid photo ID (e.g., CA driver license, government-issued ID).
• By submitting your ID, you affirm you are the registered student and will personally take the exam.

Penalty for Misrepresentation:
Violation results in certificate revocation and will be reported to the California DRE.

Identification for Final Exam
A participant shall present one of the following forms of identification immediately before admittance to a live presentation of an offering, or immediately before the administration of the final examination for a correspondence offering:

1. ​A current California driver  license
2. A current identification card described in Section 13000 of the California Vehicle Code
3. Any identification of the participant issued by a governmental agency or a recognized real estate related trade organization within the immediately preceding five years which bears a photograph, signature and identification number of the participant.

By entering your driver license number you are affirming, under penalty of perjury, that you are the student registered for this course and that you personally will complete the final examination. Any violation of the section will result in revocation of the completion certificate for this course and will be reported to the California Department of Real Estate.
